M’era Luna 2007
I was looking forward to it for weeks when finally on Friday, Aug. 10th, 2007, a few minutes after 10 a.m., Gerald and Sina came to pick me up and take me to Hildesheim for the M’era Luna festival.
After my things were stuffed into the car – hey, I didn’t have that much luggage!!! – we just went to Hechtstraße to deliver the “holiday-hamster” back, did some food&water-shopping at Netto, bought some Turkish bred, get some fuel and went tot the highway.
Although two girls and the navi told Gerald how to drive, he took the highway to Göttingen, which did not exist by now… so we reached Hildesheim a bit late.
Expecting bad weather, we reached the area around 6 p.m., got a good place for the car, met Thomas and Marco who where space keepers for our tents. Also René and Claudi were there already; later “Elch” and his girl-friend arrived – so there we were.
After placing the tents we were all sitting together at the pavilion when a heavy rain started…
But when the rain finished I had a very nice evening as I had a date for a bottle of wine with someone really nice and he found me and … we were drinking much too much of the wine but… that’s nothing to talk about
I went to sleep around 1 a.m. but woke around 4 again – because it was raining into the tent and my sleeping bag was wet L but I was too tired to do something
Well, it was difficult to get up next morning and to have breakfast…the plan was to meet at 11 by the main stage to watch The Lovecrave but I didn’t manage at all. But I could listen to it from the tent. Finally I managed to be there to watch Lola Angst, pretty good music and show. And finally the weather was good…
Afterwards I saw Jesus on Extasy and went back to bed J. As I remember I watched Assemblage 23 next but I’m not sure as they changed the line up, later Covenant, well, I just saw them.
But I met the nice guys from Lübeck again, the ones I was drinking beer with at the WGT in Leipzig! That was a nice surprise.
Dir en Grey was the first band I really liked that day – well, I didn’t really know them before, just heard people talking about them and listened to 1 or 2 songs – but, really, not bad. The show was not that special but I don’t need too much theatre blood…
Afterward I just checked Emily Autumn, well well – nothing to talk about.
Actually I didn’t want to see And One but the show was great, I had so much fun, danced a lot. But he is sooo arrogant…
To see Tool I fought my way to the 5th row, but only stood there for half of the concert, I needed fresh air and some more space than. Finally the show was much better to see from more away and it was a great show with video projections and laser lights, just a blast!!! I really liked it a lot. They are just the Pink Floyd of today…
After sitting together with friends with beer and wine I crawled into my sleeping bag (dry gain!!!) around 1 again.
